Good Relations Curriculum developed by Boys & Girls Clubs NI
The Youth Service Regional Assessment of Need (2020-23) identified Good Relations as one of the key themes for the Youth sector. It is evident that community tensions, polarisation and segregation remain in Northern Ireland.
Our hope is that programmes like this one will help to promote mutual understanding, positive cross-community relations, and respect for cultural traditions. As identified in the Youth Service Regional Assessment of Need (2020-23), “The Good Relations strategy in Northern Ireland is about instilling the values of fairness, equality and respect and improving the quality of life for everyone who lives here.” (Pg. 36).
Alongside the session plans, tutors are encouraged to avail of the PowerPoint slides for each session which include useful information, pictures, activity prompts and videos. Session plans reference all additional worksheets/ materials required for workshop activities.
