Area Based Funding Guidance & Information
EA registered local youth work organisations who deliver essential local youth work.
Eligibility Includes;
- Proven track record of quality local youth work delivery with the specified area
What Can Be Funded?
This funding will be for the essential direct delivery of local youth work for example;
- Centre-Based Youth Work
- Area Based Youth Work
- Outreach or Detached Youth Work
When Will This Funding Be Available?
Specifications will be publicly advertised on the EA website. There will be availability of up to 3 years funding and up to an annual maximum of £130,000. This is subject to ongoing review in collaboration with the Department of Education.
What Can I Use This Funding For?
You can use this funding for core costs associated with the following;
- Staffing Salaries
- Programme Development
- Overheads

How Will I Account For The Funding?
You will be required to complete:
- An Income and Expenditure form by 30th April 2021
- EA Financial Verification
- EA Target Monitor on agreed outcomes – Engagement Framework, Outreach/Detached Framework and Youth Work Outcome Framework
- EA Moderation
