This stream is for EA Registered groups (Regional and Local) to provide the opportunity to source new camping equipment for summer youth provision.

Funding Guidance & Information
- All EA Registered youth organisations (regional or local)
This stream is to provide EA Registered groups (Regional or Local) the opportunity to purchase new camping equipment to facilitate camps throughout the summer.
The EA Youth Service will provide a list of recommended equipment to ensure that they are quality and good investment; however groups can choose to purchase from a supplier and equipment list of their choice. You can use this funding for costs associated with the following equipment list:
- Tents
- Sleeping bags
- Cooking equipment
All funding will be based on:
- Assessed need as identified through application.
- Strength based approaches to youth work and the development of programmes that will encourage young people to re-connect, re-energise and re-engage over the summer period.
Programmes should have a particular focus on the NI Mental Health Champion’s key recommendations:
- A physical activity programme that ensures that children meet the guidelines for the minimum amount of moderate- intense physical activity, with a focus on outdoors (1 hour daily)
- Healthy balanced meals and snacks
- Creative pursuits, including options for music, drama and art/ crafts
Celebrations which involve parents and others within the community, to promote self-esteem and hope
When will this funding be available?
This is a one-time funding opportunity for summer provision in July & August 2021.
Limited to one application per organisation or unit.
Application for funding will open on 10th May 2021 and close on 21st May 2021.

You will be required to complete:
- Income and expenditure form
- Groups will be required to provide receipts/invoices/ statements.
Organisations must be registered as a Voluntary Youth Organisations with the Education Authority and provide the name of the programme/project with delivery dates for which the camp equipment will be used between July & August 2021.
