This stream supports all non-EA registered voluntary and community organisations in Northern Ireland who work with children and young people aged between 4-25 year olds in an informal setting to re-connect, re-energise and re-engage children and young people throughout the summer months.

Summer Funding Guidance & Information
All EA Non-Registered voluntary and community organisations who work with 4-25 year olds in an informal setting.
No. You do not need to be registered with the Education Authority to access this funding. Non-Registered groups will be required to provide evidence of child protection and safeguarding, governance, insurance and appropriate banking and accounting procedures as part of the application process.
There are two camp types available under “Access for All”.
Bumper Programme/Camps:
Bumper camps can apply for funding up to £25,000 per camp. Criteria:
- Minimum 200 children and young people
- 5 hours per day for a minimum of 5 days consecutively
Mini Programme/Camps:
Mini camps can apply for funding up to £10,000 per camp.
Criteria:
- Minimum of 20 and up to 200 children and young people
- 5 hours per day for a minimum of 3 days consecutively
This funding can be used to cover:
- Programme costs only throughout the summer months
- Does not include management fees, staffing costs or overhead costs.
All funding will be based on:
- Assessed need as identified through application
- Strength based approaches to youth work and the development of programmes that will encourage young people to reconnect, reenergise and reengage over the summer period.
Programmes should have a particular focus on the NI Mental Health Champion’s key recommendations:
- A physical activity programme that ensures that children and young people engage in a minimum amount of moderate to intense physical activity, with a focus on outdoors (1 hour daily)
- Healthy balanced meals and snacks
- Creative pursuits, including options for music, drama and art/ crafts
- Celebrations which involve parents and others within the community, to promote self-esteem and hope
Application for funding will open on 10th May 2021 and close on 21st May 2021.
You can use this funding for programme costs up to a maximum depending on Camp Selection:
- Transport costs
- Accreditation costs
- Food and refreshments for the programme or event (not at a profit to children and young people and underpinned by healthy eating)
- Programme materials linked to the activity
- Entrance fees/activity costs Associated with the programme (Day visits and activities not Including residential stays)
- Hire of premises/Residential Costs for events or programmes
- Printing costs for materials associated with the programme
- Equipment costs (not exceeding £1,000 per unit cost or ICT Items over £200)
This Scheme is limited to a maximum of one application per organisation or unit.

- Programme Report which will include number of young people engaged and outcomes of the programme by the 30th September 2021
- Income and expenditure form
- For funding over £3,000 groups will be required to provide receipts/invoices/statements
- Monitoring Visit by an EA Officer during the operation of the programme
