CEO Visit to Uniformed Hub
This week, our Education Authority Chief Executive Richard Pengelly met with the uniformed hub group, with representatives from
- Scouts NI
- Scout Foundation NI
- Girls Brigade
- The NI Boys Brigade
- Girlguiding Ulster
- Catholic Guides of Ireland
Uniformed youth provision provides young people the chance to meet with their friends weekly, studying areas of interest and gaining accreditation through badge work.
The CEO had the opportunity to hear about the dedication and commitment of these organisations through the young people who benefit from their services. The young people who attend uniformed youth provision have the opportunity to engage in excellent programmes whether that is locally, regionally or internationally, develop political and social awareness and develop their leadership skills.
The impact and value that the uniformed sector has on children and young people across NI is evident and this was showcased at the uniformed hub meeting.
