DE visit to Lurgan Youth Annexe
Tonight, we were delighted to have deputy permanent secretary for the Department of Education, Linsey Farrell join us for a visit to Lurgan Youth Annexe.
The visit, which was hosted by Centre Based Youth Worker, Andrew Barr, Head of Local Youth Services Lynsey Branniff and Senior Youth Officer for the ABC area Sarah Muldoon, showcased the Lurgan Youth Annexe and the incredible young people that attend weekly.
Lurgan Youth Annexe collaborate with many community and voluntary partners and as part of this evening programme, we were delighted that Lurgan YMCA were able to join us to take part in the Interclub Olympics Challenge.
All the young people then had the opportunity to meet local members of the Lurgan PSNI neighbourhood team and some of the young people (& staff!) even got to test out the uniform and police vehicles.
Leon was a big fan of the police vest and Linsey, Sarah and Lynsey can be seen testing out the comfort levels in the back of the cell van!!
Thank you so much Linsey for spending the evening with us, we hope you enjoyed the visit and hearing about the collaborative work we do within youth services.
